Since it’s the week of Christmas, we thought we would share a fun game with you all versus one of our more traditional posts. This is a fun little auction game to play with your friends and/or family. These rules can be changed to fit whatever need or audience your group may have or want, so feel free to mix it up!
How To Play
6. For extra fun, the hosts should put together one “Grand Prize” for the end. This grand prize can be awesome or not… the person with the most cash at the end automatically wins the Grand Prize.
Finding Christmas Cash
For “Christmas Cash,” there’s plenty of templates to download online. You can print however many copies you need and then cut them out.
If you can’t find anything you like online, use Monopoly money or something similar to that. Creating your own “money” from scratch is always an options, as well. Otherwise, real money works in a pinch.
The whole fun of a white elephant gift auction is that some gifts will be awesome and some will be not so great! Here’s a few of the most popular gifts we’ve seen throughout the years:
- Gift cards (with only a few cents on them!)
- Cash
- Toilet paper
- Extra “Christmas Cash”
- Christmas food
- Coloring books, stickers, play dough for kids
- Christmas CD
- Dollar store items
- Bar of soap
- Can of food
- Christmas movie
